Jenna Fischer's best-known role was as Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. In appreciation of her performance, she received an Emmy award for the Best Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won the award for two SAG Awards.
Her birthplace was Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna's mom Anne was a performer in church plays as a child, and this instilled an passion for theater.
Fischer is an actor with the theater background. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. After starring in Steve Martin's most recent show Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann & Josh Stamberg), she went on to perform at the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast hosted by Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has been an enormous success, making the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books, The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide In it, she describes her journey through St. Louis to Hollywood and her journey to becoming a successful actor, as well as the upcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends That Were There (co-authored with Angela Kinsey) This book provides the story of their greatest relationship and their time on The Office.
