Decker released a follow-up album, dubbed Sweet American Dreams or Daughter of a Gypsy however Mercury put it on hold after the two first singles didn't chart. Decker then was let leave her contract.

One baby was strapped on my back as the other crawled in the playground. I spent 12 hours days for months sanding and stripping wallpaper while carrying one kid. Ha! The house was getting closer to being done, yet the project was still a way off. This was going take the time, energy, and of course my favourite shopping experience to furnish this house. My three sons and me searched for hidden gems while attending estate sales in order to reduce my expenses. The routine we had for the week consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through estate sales and garage sales buying a mixture of antique and brand new furniture and then I would spend weekends painting and sanding the driveway.
